Bokaro: Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society’s Technical Campus (NAAC-accredited with B++ grade) organised a workshop on “NAAC Accreditation in Higher Education: Critical Need – Challenges and Prospects” at Hotel Hans Regency, Sector 1C. The event was graced by College Director Dr. Priyadarshi Jaruhar as the resource person, with Secretary Surendra Pal Singh and Member Jagmohan Singh as special guests.
Participation of Principals and Faculty Members
Principals from GGPS schools – Somen Chakraborty (Sector 5), Abhishek Kumar (Chas), and Sudip Thakur (Dhanbad) – also attended. Around 70 faculty members registered via Google Form to actively participate in the session.
Insights on Maturity-Based Grading
Dr. Jaruhar shared insights on the latest Maturity-Based Grade Level (MBGL) parameters through a PPT presentation, emphasising the need to target Grade Level 5 standards to align with international benchmarks. He highlighted the college’s achievement of securing the top position among government and private institutions in Jharkhand post-NAAC accreditation.
Acknowledgment and Felicitations
The workshop concluded with a formal dinner. Prof. Rashmi Thakur, Head of BBA & OSD-HR, coordinated the announcement, while IQAC Coordinator Manojit Dey and faculty members contributed significantly. Chairman Tarsem Singh congratulated the director and team for their dedicated efforts.
