Bokaro: The Covid-19 vaccination has been administered to 14,606,57 citizens so far throughout the district. According to civil surgeon, Dr Jitendra Kumar Singh, 14,606,57 citizens in the district have been given the vaccine of Covid-19, out of which the first dose was given to 10,570,70 and the second dose was given to 4,035,87.
Bokaro have a population: 20,62,330 persons including minor below 18 years, as per district administration website. The target population for vaccination is around 15 lakh. Around 14.60 lakh residents had received the first dose. “We are conducting an awareness campaign in the district, and asking the residents to vaccinate Covid-19 when it’s their turn. People shouldn’t be afraid of Covid-19 vaccine,” he said. The vaccine is completely safe.
The district has 77 sites where vaccinations are administered to the people. There are currently four active Coronavirus cases in Bokaro. In the district, 19466 positive cases of Covid-19 have been identified so far. A total of 19176 of them have recovered, while 286 of them have died.
