Bokaro: The state health department is looking into the fact that patients from Bokaro Sadar Hospital are being referred to private hospitals and claiming Ayushman insurance amounts. Ayushman Bharat in-charge Dr Bhuvnesh Pratap Singh has ordered an investigation into the matter.
Ayushman’s team will go to Bokaro to investigate the fraud. Bokaro is continuously receiving complaints related to Ayushman scheme. According to Dr Bhuvnesh Pratap Singh, some complex diseases must be referred to a private hospital. The investigation will identify doctors who intentionally refer their patients to private hospitals or clinics from Sadar Hospital Bokaro.
When this occurs, it is important to identify the individuals and take action. Inquiry has been ordered into the matter, he said.
