Bokaro school elevates educator proficiency in assessment techniques


Bokaro: Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Bokaro recently played host to a one-day workshop aimed at bolstering assessment and evaluation techniques as part of its Competency Development Program. Headed by Suraj Sharma, the school’s principal, the workshop drew the participation of approximately 200 teachers eager to enrich their pedagogical repertoire.

With a spotlight on the practical implementation of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) and the National Education Policy (NEP) of 2020, Sharma emphasised the pivotal role such workshops play in fostering effective teaching strategies. He underscored the significance of equipping educators with the tools necessary to navigate the evolving landscape of education, especially in integrating new technologies for accurate assessment.

Throughout the session, educators were exposed to a spectrum of topics vital for honing their assessment methodologies. From dissecting the intricacies of curriculum assessment to delving into innovative evaluation techniques like Bloom’s taxonomy, the workshop traversed a comprehensive terrain. Moreover, special attention was devoted to cultivating a nuanced understanding of questioning techniques and leveraging portfolios for holistic evaluation.
