Bokaro: An informative training program on the ‘National Education Policy-2020’ (NEP-2020) was held with great enthusiasm at the Bhai Nandlal Ji Auditorium of Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Bokaro. Resource persons Shiv Shankar Yadav and Abhishek Kumar graced the event with their presence.
The session commenced with an invocation by the school’s Principal, creating a peaceful atmosphere. This was followed by a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and the presentation of plants. The program was inaugurated in the presence of Vice Principal Middle Wing Suman Nangia, Primary Incharge Smriti Bohra, and Senior Wing Incharge G.K. Mishra.
Principal Soumen Chakraborty warmly welcomed the resource persons and attendees, emphasising the importance of education and continuous learning. He encouraged teachers to keep evolving and periodically evaluate their work and cultural practices.
Shiv Shankar Yadav, Principal of BISS, Sector-8, began the discussion with an engaging presentation on NEP-2020. He highlighted the significance of mental health and physical fitness for teachers and their direct impact on students.
Next, Abhishek Kumar, Principal of GGPS, Chas, took the stage. He elucidated the objectives of NEP-2020, its role in preserving social and cultural heritage, and explained the 5+3+3+4 education structure in a clear and insightful manner.
The training program featured comprehensive discussions led by both resource persons, enriched with activities like videos to promote a conducive learning environment. Teachers gained valuable knowledge and enjoyed the interactive session.
The Principal praised the resource persons for their invaluable contributions, noting that both teachers and students would benefit from such workshops. Vice Principal Suman Nangia commended the resource persons for organizing such beneficial sessions.
