CBSE Workshop: Manisha Sharma empowers educators on the crucial role of teachers in guiding adolescents


Bokaro: In a two-day workshop on Adolescence Education held at Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro, Manisha Sharma, Vice-Principal of Delhi Public School, emphasised the crucial role of teachers in guiding adolescents. “Adolescence is the age in which children often fall victim to bad habits like drug addiction, excessive social media use, and negative peer influences. Teachers play a pivotal role in protecting children from these dangers and positively shaping their future,” she said.

Manisha Sharma stressed the need for educators to be vigilant and proactive in addressing these challenges. Workshop Focuses on Adolescence and Its Challenges 
The workshop, organised under the aegis of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), aimed to address the importance of education during adolescence in shaping a healthy future for children. The event began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony led by Principal Suraj Sharma, Chief Facilitator Dolan Champa Banerjee, and Vice-Principals Manisha Sharma of Delhi Public School and Narmendra Kumar of Chinmaya Vidyalaya.

Importance of Adolescence Education 
Chief Facilitator Dolan Champa Banerjee highlighted the rapid physical, emotional, and social development that occurs between the ages of 10 to 19. She stressed the importance of incorporating practical social education in every subject. “This stage determines not just the future of the child but also the family, society, and the nation,” she remarked. Banerjee encouraged teachers to integrate real-life examples into their lessons to equip students with the tools needed for real-world challenges.

The workshop featured various interactive sessions that allowed teachers to engage with new teaching strategies.
