Costumes Come Alive: Young performers steal the show at Sree Ayyappa Public School Bokaro


Bokaro: Sree Ayyappa Public School in Sector 5 came alive with colors and creativity as 200 students from pre-nursery to class 1 participated in an exciting Fancy Dress Competition. The vibrant campus was transformed into a kaleidoscope of costumes, showcasing the imaginative spirit of the children. The event commenced with Principal P. Shailja Jayakumar, accompanied by Vice Principals Rajalaxmi, Suresh Nair, and Sumangala. Together with judges Savitri, Garima, and Saroj Mishra, they lit the ceremonial lamp, marking the occasion and setting the tone for a day filled with joy and excitement.

Impressive Performances by Young Participants 

As the competition unfolded, the young participants captivated the audience with their outstanding performances. Each child was adorned in dazzling costumes, reflecting various characters that radiated joy and enthusiasm. Parents watched with pride as their children took to the stage, embodying themes that ranged from mythological figures to historical icons. The pre-nursery students shone brightly as celestial bodies, animals, and seasonal fruits. Nursery students delighted the audience with costumes representing birds, endangered species, and popular cartoon characters. The Class Prep students impressed everyone with their portrayals of mythological figures and characters from the courts of Akbar, while Class 1 participants brought historical and folklore characters to life, showcasing their creativity and acting talents.

Acknowledging the Efforts of All Involved

P Rajagopal chairman of the School Management Committee took a moment to appreciate the collective efforts of teachers, parents, and students. Principal P. Shailja Jayakumar emphasised the significance of such contests in nurturing creativity and building confidence among students. Fair Judging and Awarding Excellence

The judging panel, comprised of Savitri from Kairali Springdale School and Saroj Kumar Mishra and Garima Sinha from Sree Ayyappa Public School, ensured a fair evaluation process. The competition concluded with the announcement of winners in various categories. In the Pre-Nursery category, Jenika Verma claimed first place, followed by Reyansh Rathore in second and Shivay Kumar and Adyansh Singh sharing third. In the Nursery category, Shaurya Narayan took home the first prize, while Aadya Shree secured second place, and Drishti Sinha and Shaisha Kumari earned third. The Prep class winners included Shambhavi Shandilya in first, Atharv Manish Singh in second, and Shivansh Ranjan and Vaibhav Bardhan sharing third. Class 1 saw Devapriya Vijesh winning first, Abhijeet Kumar in second, and Avantika Mishra and Vanisha Vashistha tying for third. The winners beamed with joy as they received their awards.

Promoting Healthy Eating During Poshan Maah

The Fancy Dress Competition coincided with the celebration of Poshan Maah, emphasising the importance of a balanced and nutritious diet. Visitors were treated to an array of wholesome food items, including dribbling dhokla, mouthwatering sandwiches, savory peanut chaat, refreshing lemonade, and fluffy poha, tantalizing the taste buds of everyone present. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Vice Principal Rajalaxmi, marking a successful and joyful day at Sree Ayyappa Public School.
