Youngsters exhibit their artistic excellence in the DPS Bokaro Star Contest


Bokaro: To discover and promote the innate talents of young and creative minds, Delhi Public School (DPS), Bokaro organised the ‘DPS Star Contest’ in the school premises. It was a showcase of artistic brilliance across the categories of Solo Song, Solo Instrumental, Orchestra, Dance and Visual Arts. The event provided a vibrant platform for students to unleash their latent abilities and express their artistic flair, embodying the school’s commitment to holistic education and personal development.

The contest featured a splendid array of performances. Solo vocalists captivated the audience with their powerful renditions, orchestral groups delivered harmonies that echoed with depth, dancers mesmerised with expressive movements and young artists displayed evocative works in visual arts, each piece telling its own story. The competition emphasized the diversity of talent, reflecting the school’s dedication to nurturing well-rounded individuals.

Based on outstanding performances, Keshav Nandan (X) secured the first position in the Solo Instrumental (tabla) category. Soham (X) and Raman Chaturvedi (IX) shared the second place, while Ayush Raj (XI) bagged the third position. In the Orchestra competition, Bhawini Sinha & Group, Om Raj & Group and Avinish Jha & Group bagged the first, second and third positions respectively.

In the Solo Song Competition, Dhruv Jyoti (VI), Prasoon Pankaj (XII) and Piyush (XI) clinched the first, second and third positions respectively. In the Dance Competition, Sophia Aqeel (XI) secured the first position followed by Rimik B. Surya (IX) on the second and Lenisha (VII) and Sparshi Sarkar (VI) jointly shared third position.

In the Visual Arts group category, the first position was bagged by the team of Arjit Anukul. Soham Raj and team bagged the second position and Sheetal Rajput with her team secured the third position. In the Visual Arts Solo category, Arush Srivastava, Sayee Dhaani and Ishank Raj bagged the first, second and third positions respectively.

The Principal, Dr. A. S. Gangwar highly praised the exceptional enthusiasm and outstanding performances of the participants. “DPS Star Contest is a testament to the extraordinary potential of our students. It is a platform to follow your passion with dedication.” He remarked.
