Capacity Building Workshop for educators in Jharkhand focuses on NEP 2020


Bokaro: Nearly 200 principals and senior educators from Jharkhand attended a Capacity Building Programme at DPS Bokaro on Saturday, emphasising the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The event, organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in partnership with Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex, aimed to empower educators with insights for 21st-century teaching.

Distinguished Guests at the Workshop

The session welcomed prominent figures, including R.P. Singh, Joint Secretary (Skill Education), CBSE, Anjali Chhabra, Joint Secretary (Academics), CBSE, and A.S. Gangwar, Principal of DPS Bokaro and President of Sahodaya Bokaro, among others. Attendees included educators from Bokaro, Ranchi, Dhanbad, Giridih, and Jamshedpur.

Insights and Practical Learning

The programme began with a lamp-lighting ceremony and a welcome song. A.S. Gangwar, in his address, underscored the importance of NEP 2020 in modernizing India’s education and fostering teacher empowerment. Discussions focused on inquiry-based learning, skill-oriented education, and frameworks like SAFAL, SQAAF, and NCrF, emphasizing the vital role of schools in adapting to a changing world.

Interactive Sessions and Certification

The workshop featured interactive sessions, providing educators with practical strategies. Certificates were awarded to participants at the conclusion.
