Cultural Fusion at GGPS, Bokaro: A Grand Celebration of Hindi Day and Lohri


Bokaro: Guru Gobind Singh Public School (GGPS), Bokaro, marked World Hindi Day and Lohri on Saturday, with a vibrant celebration in the school assembly area. Under the guidance of Principal Soumen Chakraborty and Vice-Principal C.P. Singh, the event beautifully blended linguistic pride and cultural traditions.

The assembly hall echoed with Hindi poetry recitations, cultural dances, and songs that highlighted the richness of the Hindi language. Students expressed their pride in their mother tongue, emphasizing the relevance of World Hindi Day both historically and today.

The Lohri celebration brought warmth to the chilly January morning, with a traditional bonfire ceremony, folk songs, and energetic Bhangra performances. Students, dressed in ethnic attire, added authenticity to the event.

In his address, Mr. Chakraborty emphasised the importance of such events in shaping students’ talents and fostering holistic development. He stressed that these celebrations not only honor cultural heritage but also promote unity and respect for diversity.

Tarsem Singh, President of GGES, and S.P. Singh, Secretary of GGES, appreciated the leadership of the Principal and the efforts of the staff in organizing such enriching events, praising the enthusiasm and creativity of the students.
