Bokaro educators discuss pedagogical techniques, NEP 2020 Implementation


Bokaro : The Two-Day Training of Trainers (ToT) Certification Course commenced at DPS Bokaro today. This programme is being offered through a joint endeavour of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in collaboration with the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM), Government of India.

The event was graced by Ravi Prakash, Head, CoE, CBSE, Patna Region and Raghwendra Kumar, Section Officer, CoE, CBSE Patna Region, along with the Resource Persons Pramod Kumar Jaiswal, Deputy Director, ISTM, Govt.of India and Dr. Subhrajyoti Ray, Joint Director (P) (Admn)Govt. of West Bengal. The session was also attended by P. Shailja Jayakumar, District Deputy Training Coordinator and Principals and Senior teachers across the Bokaro district.

More than sixty educators are participating in this empowerment programme. Dr. A. S. Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro welcomed the dignitaries and highlighted that such training sessions aims to create an education system that is inclusive, engaging and dynamic, preparing the educators for the challenges of the 21st century teaching-learning practice.

The essence of this course is not just about learning; it is about unlearning, re-learning and evolving into more equipped and powerful educators.
Ravi Prakash, Head, CoE CBSE Patna Region, emphasised he significance of such training programmes in empowering educators and trainers globally, including in the UAE, Dubai and Sharjah.

Ravi Prakash reiterated the vision of CBSE Director (Training), Manoj Kumar Srivastava, who highlighted that these sessions will build a strong network of 15000 trained Resource Persons across India. He also urged trainers to take responsibility for bringing transformational changes with innovative methodologies in teaching and learning.

Pramod Kumar Jaiswal expressed that educators play the most pivotal role in shaping a nation. He added that teachers are the architects of this new era of learning, shaping an ecosystem where education is dynamic, inclusive and future-ready to make India a developed nation by 2047.

The course aims at empowering trainers to enhance their expertise in standardising content delivery approaches to ensure quality education. It equips trainers with the necessary skills to design and conduct training programmes in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The day-1 course commenced with an interactive session where participants shared their experiences and insights on enhancing pedagogical techniques and implementing NEP 2020 strategies, focusing on holistic development and inclusivity aligned with global education standards.
