Bokaro: Sixteen students of DPS Bokaro brought laurels to their alma mater by clinching medals at the All India Tenshinkan Karate Championship 2025, held in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. Twelve states participated in the championship and Jharkhand secured the first position. Notably, 16 students from DPS Bokaro itself won an impressive total of 32 medals including 13 Gold, 12 Silver and 07 Bronze.
The karatekas who bagged the medals in the category of ‘Kata and Kumite’ are- Maayon Sharav with one Gold and Silver, Reyanshi Chaudhary one Gold and Bronze, Aarush Prakash two Gold, Riyansh Prakash two Silver, Aashwi Aadya two Silver, Bhavya Bisht two Gold, Siddhi Suman one Gold and Silver, Yuvan Yash one Gold and Bronze, Sanvi one Gold and Bronze, Anika Das two Silver, Riddhima Chaudhary one Bronze and Gold, Atharva Kashyap one Silver and Bronze, N Saravana Sadru one Silver and Bronze, Rishita Raj Sharma two Gold, Kiritikesh Kumar Mishra two Silver and Arnav Jha one Gold and Bronze.
Dr. A S Gangwar, the Principal, DPS Bokaro and the Chairman of the Khel Karate Association of Jharkhand, congratulated the winners and was elated to state that the young champions have not only made their school but also the state proud. He wished them a bright future and encouraged them to continue their pursuit of excellence by striving for perfection in Karate.
Dr. Gangwar awarded the students medals and certificates in the presence of Khedu Gorai, General Secretary and Chief Coach of the Association.
