Bokaro: The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, hosted the Mega Tinkering Day 2025. This synchronised, nationwide session brought together students from Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) and non-ATL schools for a one-hour live broadcast, guiding them through step-by-step instructions to create innovative projects. The initiative aimed to cultivate scientific thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving, marking India’s largest tinkering movement.
MGM Bokaro Students Build DIY Vacuum Cleaner
At MGM Higher Secondary School, Bokaro, 40 students from classes 6 to 12 participated in the challenge. Using discarded plastic bottles and basic electronics, they built a fully functional DIY vacuum cleaner, demonstrating how common materials can be repurposed into practical tools. This hands-on activity not only encouraged creativity but also offered students a chance to apply STEM concepts to real-world challenges.
