Bokaro: Prasoon Kumar Jha, a well-known alumnus of Delhi Public School (DPS), Bokaro, who brought national recognition to the steel city by securing All India Rank 1 in IIT-JEE in 1993, returned to his alma mater on Monday to interact with students. During his visit, he guided students on academic excellence and motivated them to face life’s challenges with confidence to emerge as responsible and successful citizens.
Speaking under the school’s guest lecture series on the topic “Alignment of Education with Artificial Intelligence (AI)”, Jha shared valuable insights into the rapidly evolving role of AI in education and professional life. Currently serving as Principal Engineer (Data & AI) at the US-based company SeekOut, he explained how AI has simplified many aspects of work while simultaneously posing challenges to traditional employment structures.

Jha emphasised that merely earning degrees is no longer sufficient in today’s competitive world. Jha stressed the importance of AI literacy and urged students to develop proficiency in emerging technologies to overcome future job-related challenges. He introduced students to advanced concepts such as quantum computing, encryption, and digital publicity, highlighting their growing relevance.
Encouraging responsible use of technology, he advised students to use the internet and digital tools positively to enhance their skills and overall competence. He also spoke about essential life values, including humility, consistent practice, effective time management, and the importance of mastering fundamental concepts in every subject. Reflecting on his own school days, Jha compared the academic environment of the past with the present and credited DPS Bokaro for laying a strong foundation for his success.
Jha praised the school for maintaining its rich legacy and encouraged students to carry it forward with dedication. Earlier, DPS Bokaro Principal Dr. A.S. Gangwar warmly welcomed Prasoon Kumar Jha and expressed gratitude for his guidance to the students. Highlighting the significance of the session, Dr. Gangwar noted that as the era increasingly belongs to AI, it is crucial for students to have accurate knowledge and the right perspective to thrive in the future.
