AICTE grants Rs 3.5 Lakhs to GGSESTC Bokaro for Cyber Security Development Program


Bokaro: Guru Gobind Singh Educational Societies Technical Campus (GGSESTC), Bokaro, has been granted Rs. 3.5 lakhs by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Education, Government of India, to organise an Atal-Faculty Development Program in Cyber Security.

The program will be coordinated by Apurba Sinha, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, who previously earned a Certificate of Excellence in Cyber Defense Engineering from Cyber Vidyapeeth. This one-week program will feature resource persons and participants from across India.

Dr. Priyadarshi Jaruhar, the college director, announced that proposals from GGSESTC, BIT Sindri, and NIFT Hatia have been approved for the 2024-25 session. He also highlighted that the college initiated a B.Tech course in Cyber Security last year, marking the first such course in Jharkhand.

Pallavi Prasad, the institute’s law and administrative officer, emphasised the increasing importance of cyber security, especially for financial institutions, and underscored the relevance of technical education in this field. The institute expressed gratitude to AICTE, with Secretary S.P. Singh congratulating the team on their success.
