Bokaro: Dr. Sabyasachi Goswami, an alumnus of The Pentecostal Assembly School (PAS) and a Postdoctoral Researcher Scholar in Astrophysics at Lisbon, Portugal, delivered an enlightening talk on ‘Supernovae & Star Dust’ to science students on Wednesday.
Goswami, who holds a Master’s degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Edinburgh and a Doctorate in Astrophysics and Cosmology from Trieste in Italy, has numerous academic papers and international talks to his credit.
During the hour-long interaction, students from grades 10, 11, and 12 were exposed to new facts about Pair Instability Supernovae Affect, Galactic Chemical Evolution, Evolution and Dust Properties of Galaxies, and learned about pursuing research, studying abroad, and making a career in the field of Astrophysics. The session was highly engaging, and students had the opportunity to clarify their doubts and ask questions.
Principal Karuna Prasad appreciated Goswami’s talk and encouraged students to explore different career opportunities, while Director Rev D. N Prasad and CAO Mrs. Rita Prasad congratulated Dr. Goswami for his successful career.
PAS takes pride in welcoming back its alumni to inspire the next generation, and it was a joy to have Sabyasachi back in the school. As a token of appreciation, Principal Karuna Prasad honored Dr. Goswami with a star medal of excellence. PAS students always shine bright.
