Bokaro SP Priyadarshi Alok confirmed FIRs filed against zonal commander Birsen and his squad for engaging security personnel in armed confrontations with the Chatrochatti and Jageshwar Vihar police stations of Gomia Block. Recovered items include a laptop, pen drive, FM/SW receivers, and a list of suspicious phone numbers, prompting ongoing decryption efforts.
Police team is working to decode and abstract relevant information from the laptop and pen drive. SP said investigation is going on and they are not in position to reveal anything as the information is vital and will help police decide future course of action.
Recovery of everyday items, including cooked food, blankets, and toiletries, suggest a recent Naxal presence. The seized ammunition comprises live cartridges, empty cases, gunpowder, and pellets. It appears that the Maoist insurgents had hastily abandoned their meal preparations as security forces closed in on their location within the jungle.
