The MoU, a pivotal step towards enhancing vocational training, was formalised by Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) of Bokaro, Sandeep Kumar, and CEO of IIASSC Institute, Sushim Banerjee.
The agreement delineates plans for imparting training programs tailored to the skill development of both young men and women hailing from areas directly and indirectly impacted by mining activities in Bokaro district.
The primary objective is to equip individuals from these regions with technical proficiency, thereby facilitating their integration into employment opportunities within the iron and steel sector-related industries.
The signing ceremony witnessed the presence of key officials including District Mining Officer Ravi Kumar Singh and personnel from the DMFT PMU Cell, underscoring the collaborative effort and commitment towards addressing skill development challenges in the region.
This collaborative endeavour holds promise for empowering local communities and fostering sustainable economic growth by bridging the gap between industry requirements and the skill sets of the workforce.
