Bokaro: National award-winning painter Saroj Mishra from Bokaro was conferred with the prestigious Odisha Art & Lifetime Achievement Award during an international art exhibition and workshop held on March 28–29 at Dhawli College of Art.

Artists showcased diverse interpretations of nature
The two-day event witnessed participation from over 75 artists representing countries such as Bangladesh, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Nepal, and Korea. Artists showcased diverse interpretations of nature through their unique painting styles, while also engaging in discussions on evolving artistic techniques and themes.
Cultural and Spiritual essence
Saroj Mishra was specially invited to the event in recognition of his distinctive artistic approach and technical excellence. His works, primarily based on the cultural and spiritual essence of Varanasi, are created using acrylic techniques on canvas, which drew significant attention from fellow artists and art enthusiasts.

Promoting the visual art
Mishra, a recipient of numerous national and international accolades, continues to refine his craft through constant practice. Currently serving as an art teacher at Sree Ayyappa Public School, he is actively involved in mentoring students and promoting the finer aspects of visual art.
Dhawli College of Art Principal Dr. Panchanan Samal, Secretary Rabishankar Das, and Working President Dr. Hrushikesh Mishra, along with other dignitaries, congratulated him on his achievement.
