Bokaro faces severe heat wave, impacting daily life


Bokaro is facing a serious heat wave, making it hard for people to go outside after 8 a.m. The strong sunlight and high temperatures have caused the city’s markets to become empty by midday as people stay indoors to escape the heat.

Severe Heatwave Continues in Jharkhand, Red Alert Issued

Jharkhand continued to face a severe heatwave, with Daltonganj reaching a high of 45.6 degrees Celsius. The weather department has issued a red alert for severe heatwave conditions in the northwest and southeast parts of Jharkhand until June 14.

Abhishek Anand, an officer at the Ranchi Meteorological Centre, said, “A red alert for severe heatwave has been issued for Garhwa, Palamu, Saraikela-Kharswan, East Singhbhum, and West Singhbhum until June 14. An orange alert is in place for parts of Chatra and Latehar. Other areas may also experience heatwave-like conditions.”
