Bokaro : In a major academic reform, The Pentecostal Assembly School on April 6 initiated CBSE Curriculum Transformation 2026–27 in line with National Education Policy 2020 and National Curriculum Framework for School Education 2023.

Addressing a morning assembly, Principal Karuna Prasad said the school has already implemented competency-based assessment over the past three years, moving beyond rote learning to focus on conceptual clarity and critical thinking.
The new system strengthens the three – language formula, making a third language compulsory from Class 6. An interdisciplinary subject, “Individuals in Society,” has also been introduced at the secondary level.

The curriculum now includes vocational education, computational thinking and artificial intelligence, along with flexible options in Mathematics and Science. Continuous internal assessment, project work and well-being-focused learning will form key components.
“Education must build thinking and life skills,” the principal said.
