Bokaro: Sree Ayyappa Public School (SAPS), Bokaro, hosted a two-day painting exhibition to mark the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution, turning its co-scholastic room into a thoughtfully curated space celebrating democracy, unity and national pride. The exhibition sought to foster constitutional awareness among students and the wider community through visual art.
Centred on the theme “The Constitution of India”, the exhibition featured works by artists from several districts of Jharkhand. The paintings depicted the Constituent Assembly and the drafting of the Constitution, alongside interpretations of Fundamental Rights and Duties and the values of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. The displays combined artistic expression with civic education, drawing steady interest from visitors.
Addressing the gathering, Principal P. Shailaja Jayakumar underlined the Constitution’s role in shaping India as a sovereign, democratic republic, and said such initiatives help students engage with its values beyond textbooks.

The exhibition was organised under the supervision of Saroj Kumar Mishra, Head of Visual Arts, Jharkhand, with support from the school management and artists’ teams. The inaugural ceremony featured a lamp-lighting and cultural performances, lending a solemn tone to a commemorative event that blended art, education and patriotism.
