Bokaro: Sree Ayyappa Public School celebrates Investiture Ceremony 2024-25 with new student council appointments


Bokaro: Sree Ayyappa Public School recently held its annual “Investiture Ceremony” to induct the new Student Council members for the academic year 2024-25. The event, marked by pomp and grandeur, was attended by the Principal, Vice Principal, teachers, and a large number of students.

Event Highlights and Commencement 

The ceremony began with a welcoming speech and the school song performed by the organisers, setting an enthusiastic tone. This historic occasion signifies the transfer of responsibility and trust from the school to its newly appointed student leaders.

Oath of Office and Principal’s Address 

During the ceremony, the Principal, Smt. P. Shailaja Jayakumar, and Vice Principal Suresh Kumar presented the badges and sashes to the new council members. In her address, Smt. Jayakumar stated, “If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, and achieve more, you are an outstanding leader.” She encouraged the students to embrace their roles with dedication and develop skills for future leadership.

Introducing the New Student Council 

The Investiture Ceremony highlighted the importance of student leadership within the school. The newly elected Student Council members for 2024-25 include:
– School Head Boy:  Shivam, Class 12/G
–  School Head Girl: Pari Bhardwaj, Class 12/K
–  School Vice Captain (Boys): Rahul Kumar Mandal, Class 11/A
–  School Vice Captain (Girls):  Anshika Yadav, Class 11/J
–  Literary Secretary: Abhishek Nag, Class 12/J
–  Junior Literary Secretaries: Ishant Sharma, Class 12/L and Anushka Sahni, Class 11/J
–  Council Secretary: Aditi Narayan, Class 12/F
–  Junior Council Secretaries: Kritika Shah, Class 12/K and Siddhi Barnwal, Class 11/A
–  Sports Secretary: Shaurya Bhardwaj, Class 12/D
–  Junior Sports Secretaries: Vivek Gautam, Class 12/G and Kumari Sanskriti, Class 11/D

House Captains and Prefects Appointed

The ceremony also featured the selection of House Captains and Prefects:
–  Ganga House: Captain Aditya Kumar, Class 11/D; Vice Captain Vartika Singh, Class 11/C
–  Yamuna House: Captain Shri Hari Kumar, Class 11/C; Vice Captain Samridhi Shri, Class 11/B
–  Saraswati House: Captain Shankar Kumar Sahu, Class 11/E; Vice Captain Kumari Megha, Class 11/H
–  Pampa House: Captain Chandan Singh, Class 11/F; Vice Captain Aditi Singh, Class 11/F
–  Periyar House: Captain Saikat Chatterjee, Class 11/D; Vice Captain Kakun Perera, Class 11/C
–  Kaveri House: Captain Ujjwal Kumar Poddar, Class 11/A; Vice Captain Nidhi Sharma, Class 11/J

Additionally, school prefects from various classes were appointed, demonstrating a broad leadership representation.
