Bokaro: Sree Ayyappa School hosts spectacular extravaganza of learning & creativity


Bokaro: In a grand celebration of knowledge and creativity, Sree Ayyappa Public School in Bokaro orchestrated a remarkable event that combined science, social science, art, language, literature, and a delightful school fun banquet. This educational spectacle, titled ‘Anvesh,’ unfolded on the school premises, turning every corner into a vibrant hub of learning and innovation.

The entire school, including the sprawling playground, was adorned with captivating decorations, setting the stage for an awe-inspiring exhibition. Students eagerly showcased their novel projects and imaginative ideas, with a total of 70 projects chosen at the school level. Over 450 students, guided by their group leaders and teachers, participated in the exhibition, exuding enthusiasm at their respective stalls.

The event was graced by Dr. Priyadarshi Jaruhar, Director of Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society’s Technical Campus Kandra Chas, Bokaro, and a renowned career counselor, who served as the chief guest. Dr. Priyadarshi formally inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon at the entrance, marking the commencement of a day dedicated to knowledge and creativity.

The event’s opening was marked by a captivating dance performance, “Jai Swatantra, Jai Bharat, Jai Tan-Man…” which encapsulated the theme of ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan.’ Emphasising the significance of ‘Anvesh,’  P. Shailaja Jayakumar, the school’s principal, noted that such programs are essential for nurturing scientific curiosity in children and instilling a passion for science and other scholarly activities.

The exhibition featured outstanding projects in the domains of science, social science, and art, leaving a lasting impression on the attendees. The projects were categorised into sections for science (including physics, chemistry, and biology), social sciences, language and literature, and arts. This year’s theme of ‘Exploration,’ focusing on 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, communication, and research analysis, revolved around “Science and Technology for Society.” Students from grades 5 to 12 presented approximately 70 projects encompassing topics like health, life, environment, agriculture, communication, transportation, and artificial intelligence.

The social science exhibition showcased engaging demonstrations, including the design of the new Parliament building and insights into the culture, lifestyle, and history of different states. The art exhibition featured stunning handcrafted items, ‘Madhubani Painting’ being one of the highlights, which students proudly dedicated to the chief guest.

Dr. Priyadarshi, while touring the stalls, encouraged the students to think innovatively and invest their energy in new ideas, emphasizing the importance of innovation in today’s world. Dr. S.S. Mahapatra, the school’s director, highlighted the exhibition’s goal of nurturing students’ creativity and encouraging them to express their opinions freely.

The event attracted judges who meticulously assessed each model and stall, engaging students in discussions about their projects. The judges praised the participants and acknowledged their hard work.

The exhibition wasn’t just about academics; it was also a celebration of art, with students’ drawings, paintings, toys, and other creations garnering attention. Additionally, a variety of delicious food stalls added to the festive atmosphere, with students and parents enjoying delectable treats.

The enthusiasm displayed by students, teachers, and parents, along with the successful exhibition, illuminated the school premises.

Chairman of the school P Rajagopal also extended his heartfelt best wishes to the entire school community. Several distinguished individuals including Mohanan Nair and Saseendran Karat, Vice Chairmen , E. S. Suseelan, General Secretary, Baburaj, Treasurer, Suresh K.A. and Mr B Sajjin, Board of Directors of the School managing Committee were also present. Soumen Chakraborty, Vice President of Dr Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex and Principal of GGPS, Sector-5 was the guest of honour.
