Bokaro: In a remarkable feat, five crucial departments of Bokaro Steel Plant – CO & CC, Sinter Plant, Blast Furnace, SMS-(New), and HSM – have hit their annual production targets with flying colors in the month of February.

The CO & CC department led the charge by accomplishing 513 oven pushings, while the Sinter Plant churned out an impressive 540,146 tonnes of sinter. Additionally, the Blast Furnace contributed 389,797 tonnes of hot metal, and the SMS-(New) department produced 92,727 tonnes.
Furthermore, the Crude Steel and Hot Strip Mill departments achieved 100.58% and 117.67% of their production targets, respectively, with a total output of 364,875 tonnes.
The achievement didn’t go unnoticed as the top management, led by Director-in-charge Atanu Bhowmik and Executive Director (Operations) Birendra Kumar Tiwari, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the dedicated teams, along with the supporting departments and contract workers.
“This accomplishment not only underscores the plant’s operational excellence but also highlights its commitment to meeting and surpassing production goals,” said Manikant Dhan, BSL spokesperson.
