Bokaro Steel Plant employees gear up for new beginnings with ‘Ek Naye Safar Ki Shuruaat’


The Bokaro Steel Plant organised a comprehensive retirement program titled “Ek Naye Safar Ki Shuruaat” in the main auditorium of the Learning and Development Department on Monday. This initiative aimed to guide employees retiring this month through the retirement formalities and help them manage life changes post-retirement.

The program began with a warm welcome by Kalpana, Senior Manager (HR – Final Settlement), who outlined the purpose of the event and introduced the new Mediclaim Scheme. Following her introduction, Jaya Lakshmi, Medical Officer (Medical and Health Services), and Yoga Expert Krishna Bandhu Mishra conducted a session on health management through yoga, emphasising the importance of maintaining physical well-being after retirement.

Deputy General Manager (Finance and Accounts) Anupam Shee provided an in-depth overview of financial management strategies essential for retirees. Bandhan Bank Branch Manager Amarendra Kumar Sinha, along with his team, offered advice on money investment and highlighted various banking facilities available to the retirees.

Additionally,  Sangeeta Kumari, ACT (HR-Final Settlement), detailed the final settlement process to ensure that all retirees understood the necessary steps for a smooth transition.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Kalpana, acknowledging the efforts of all speakers and organisers. The program was well-received, providing valuable insights and resources to help the retiring employees embark on their new journey with confidence.
