Students of Delhi Public School (DPS), Bokaro, have once again brought pride to their institution by winning the overall championship trophy at the National Group Song Competition organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad, Bokaro Steel City (North Branch). The event was held at Buddha Vihar, Sector-4, and witnessed participation from several reputed schools across the region.
Triumph Across All Categories
The DPS vocal ensemble displayed exceptional talent, securing first place in all three categories—Patriotic Song, Sanskrit Song, and Folk Song. Their performances demonstrated an impeccable grasp of rhythm, melody, and harmony. The team included Maitreyee Sinha (Class VIII), Anvi Rai, Angel Bajaj, Samyojita Thakur, Geet Pathak, Aryaman Ashish, and Piyush Mallick (Class X), along with Achint Kaur (Class XII). The students were guided by experienced mentors Vicky Anand Pathak, Bhaskar Ranjan Dey, and Shubhojeet Mishra, who played a pivotal role in refining their skills.

Cultural and Patriotic Excellence
In the Patriotic Song category, the team performed “Suraj Badle, Chanda Badle…” emphasising national progress and prosperity. Their Sanskrit rendition, “Jayatu Janani Janmabhoomi: Punya-Bhuvanam Bharatam…”, paid tribute to the motherland, while the Folk Song performance, “Pratham Vandan Karun Aaj Shubh Din Ma…”, celebrated farmers and rural traditions. The outstanding performance earned the team a trophy, memento, and certificates of recognition.
Recognition and Encouragement
Principal Dr. A.S. Gangwar lauded the winning team during the school assembly, where the entire school applauded their achievement. Expressing his delight, he urged students to continue refining their talents under the guidance of their mentors. Dr. Gangwar highlighted that DPS Bokaro offers an ideal platform for students to explore their interests, excel in their chosen fields, and achieve greater heights in life.
