Bokaro: Sree Ayyappa Public School, Bokaro, inaugurated its state-of-the-art Music and Dance Hall on Friday, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to promoting holistic education. The newly built cultural facility is designed to nurture creativity and provide students with a dedicated space to explore music, rhythm, and performing arts.
The ceremony was held on the school campus in the presence of distinguished office bearers, including President P. Rajagopal, Vice President Saseendran Karat, board members including Dr Suresh Babu and others. Their support and vision for enriching student life were widely appreciated.
Principal P. Shailaja Jayakumar said, “the program began with the ceremonial lighting of lamps, symbolising knowledge and the beginning of new artistic possibilities. The dignitaries jointly inaugurated the elegantly constructed hall, which is set to become a vibrant center for cultural development.”

A major highlight of the facility is its extensive collection of classical and contemporary musical instruments, including the tabla, sitar, harmonium, guitar, keyboard, and a full percussion ensemble. The hall features spacious flooring and enhanced acoustics suitable for both dance rehearsals and music training.
Music teachers Balaram Chandra Majumdar, Nirmala, and Ullash expressed their excitement about mentoring students in this upgraded environment. Principal Jayakumar emphasised that music and dance play a vital role in building confidence, creativity, and cultural awareness. The event concluded with a melodious performance by students, capturing the spirit of the school’s artistic aspirations.
