Bokaro: Director-in-Charge of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), Amarendu Prakash spoke on Saturday about the challenges relating to supply chain management in the post-pandemic situation. He asked to explore possible improvement in supply chain management.
Prakash was speaking in a program on Materials Management Day organized at the Human Resource Development Center of BSL under the joint aegis of IIMM, Bokaro Chapter and BSL. The theme of this year’s Materials Management Day is ‘Risk and Resilience Management in Post Pandemic Supply Chain Management’.
The same topic was discussed by the participants during the program. The program began with guests lighting the lamp.
Executive Director (Materials Management) V K Pandey, Executive Director (Operations) Sanjay Kumar along with Chief General Managers of various departments of BSL and officers of the Material Management Department were present. Representatives of Tata Steel and M-Junction also participated in the program.
Presentations were made by the team of Tata Steel and teams from BSL’s Stores & Logistics & Imports Department and M-Junction as part of the program. Apart from this, a quiz on Supply Chain Management and Inventory was also organized. The program was conducted by Manager (MM) Chitra Parashar and at the end Chief General Manager (MM) Harsh Nigam proposed a vote of thanks.
