Divine Glory Unleashed: Sree Ayyappa Temple’s festival ends with sacred rituals and spiritual majesty


Bokaro: The seven-day annual festival of Sree Ayyappa Temple in Sector 5 concluded on a spiritual note on Wednesday. The event was filled with devotion and enthusiasm as a variety of religious rituals were performed. The festival began with the Mahaganapati havan, followed by Bhagwat Parayan, Usha, and Kalash Puja. One of the key highlights was the Lord’s bathing puja, where the deity was bathed and then returned to the sanctum sanctorum accompanied by a grand Shobha Yatra.  Video-

Traditional Music and Ceremonial Puja Add to the Grandeur 

The religious fervor was further heightened with the performance of ‘Tayambaka,’ a traditional Kerala musical presentation led by Shri Pallasena Nandkumar and his team. Devotees also witnessed the Midday Puja, followed by Preeti Bhog, and the festival concluded with the ceremonial tying of the pat. All these rituals were conducted under the guidance of Sabarimala’s chief priest, Brahmashri Mahesh Mohanru Kanduru. Following the conclusion of the puja, devotees gathered in large numbers to receive the sacred Mahaprasad, which marked the spiritual finale of the event. Deepastambh Lighting: A Major Attraction

The lighting of the Deepastambh, a prominent feature of the festival, attracted widespread attention. The Deepastambh was lit with 1008 wicks, symbolising the unity and devotion of the attendees. The lighting ceremony took place on August 31, inaugurated by former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and Union Agriculture Minister, Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Bokaro MLA Biranchi Narayan, the Principal of Sree Ayyappa Public School, P Shailaja Jaikumar, along with temple members and several school teachers, also attended the grand event. Temple Committee and Devotees Express Joy

Members of the temple committee, including chairman P Rajagopal, Shashidhar Karat, Mohan Nair, ES Susheelan, and Suresh Kumar KA, expressed their gratitude to the devotees for their participation and support.
