Bokaro : In nostalgia and reluctance, but with hope and aspiration, Delhi Public School Bokaro Steel City bid farewell to the batch of 2022, on 2 April 2022 in a grand event organized in the campus. The fervour and energy of the students was a feast to the eyes. The event commenced with the welcome address followed by sapling presentation.
The festivities kicked off with the Group song performance by Class XI, who sang a motivational song and had everybody tapping along to the catchy beats. A poem by Harsh Raj of Class XI poignantly portrayed the emotions of school life and the childhood spent in its loving portals.
A performance by the dancers of Class XI pepped up the mood. Next, the audience welcomed the band of Class XI and a wonderful performance commenced. This was followed by the orchestral performance by students of the outgoing batch. The solo Rap performance by Deep Singh of Class XI added a special streak to the event.
A round of games to entertain their seniors was organized by the students of class XI followed by the contests for the various titles. An enchanting dance performance by the students of the outgoing batch left the audience grooving and the cultural extravaganza concluded with the Group Song presentation by the students of Class XII.
In his address, Sarvagya Sanjay, Head Boy thanked the juniors and the School for the treasure chest of memories he was carrying with him. He thanked his teachers and friends for making his school life special. Kavya Jha Head Girl stepped forward to thank the juniors whole heartedly. She also expressed her gratitude to the teachers for all the painstaking effort at shaping children into capable human beings, now ready to take on the world outside.
Principal, Mr. A.S.Gangwar announced the winners of the titles. Kavya Jha XII B was awarded the title of Miss DPS while Sarvagya Sanjay XII E was declared Master DPS. Naman Taneja XII C was awarded the title of Master Style Icon and Tara Rani XII A was identified as Miss Style Icon. Milan Maji XII C was adjudged Master Popular whereas Ausam Salam XII A and Aditi Agarwal XII G was recognized as Miss Popular. The title of Miss Versatile was bagged by Tejaswini XII I while Ritankar Bhattacharya XII E was adjudged Master Versatile.
Addressing the students, Principal DPS Bokaro, A.S. Gangwar said, “The farewell ceremony is always a special event, full of bitter- sweet moments. We take pride to see the young, resilient and confident students ready to take charge of their future. Yet, the pain of separation haunts. We find comfort in knowing that our children will uphold the core values of compassion, courage and respect and carry the pride of being a DIPSITE in all their activities.” “We value every child and we are confident that no matter what field they choose, they will contribute positively to the community and the nation at large. I wish them success in their upcoming Board examinations and future pursuits beyond exams”, he added.
