DPS Bokaro opens the doorway of opportunities for higher education at Career Guidance Fair


Bokaro: As an initiative to provide a new horizon to the aspirations of the students of the senior secondary classes a career fair was organized at DPS Bokaro on Saturday to update students with information about various higher education and career options. In this educational fair, organized in collaboration with ‘I Educationalize’, students were provided with up-to-date information about various career opportunities after Class XII, including medical, engineering and civil services, management, journalism and mass communication, law, designing, information technology, graphic designing, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and multimedia, all under one roof.

Various representatives from renowned universities across the country were present, such as Bengaluru, Pune, Bilaspur, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Raipur, Mumbai, and other prominent education hubs. They provided detailed information about the courses available in their institutions and the associated career opportunities. The session became all the more interesting as it provided detailed information on career exploration, professional skills, emerging fields and technologies. The career counsellors emphasised the need to boost self-awareness and personal development, Interview preparation and techniques sensitising the students about the scholarships etc.

During the inaugural session, Dr. Deepak Kaushal from a prestigious institute in Dehradun highlighted the bright future possibilities in machine learning, graphics and AI. Assistant Professor Amol Chincholkar from Pune shed light on opportunities in art, design and technology both in India and abroad. Tanmoy Dey from Bengaluru discussed the evolving educational landscape and the challenges it presents, emphasizing the importance of students’ participation in extra-curricular activities and skill enhancement.

The Education Fair provided students with updated information on various opportunities including fields beyond medical, engineering and civil services, such as management, law, commerce, designing, graphics, multimedia, journalism and mass communication. On-the-spot application forms were also made available by the respective universities.

The Principal, Dr. A. S. Gangwar conveyed that such events provide young students with a plethora of career options. He added, “Opportunities are diverse and multitudinous, providing authentic information will undoubtedly give future endeavours the right direction.”
