Bokaro: Kumar Anmol (XII) of Delhi Public School (DPS), Bokaro has brought glory to the entire state of Jharkhand by bagging the state topper position in the National Standard Examinations (NSE) 2025-26, conducted by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) in collaboration with the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE).

Kumar Anmol secured the top rank in Jharkhand (Group A) in the National Standard Examination in Astronomy (NSEA). With an impressive score of 118 marks, Anmol topped the chart out of five students selected from the state. Adding to the success story, Aditya Mishra (XII) displayed exceptional prowess in the National Standard Examination in Biology (NSEB), securing 96 marks and cementing his place among the four state qualifiers in the Biology Group A category.
Both students are now set to represent the region at the National Level. Anmol will appear for the Indian National Astronomy Olympiad (INAO) on January 31, 2026. A stellar performance there will lead him to the Orientation-cum-Selection Camp (OCSC) at HBCSE, Mumbai, where the top five students will be handpicked to form the Indian team for the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) to be conducted in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Aditya Mishra is gearing up for the Indian National Biology Olympiad (INBO), scheduled for February 1, 2026, aiming for a spot in the international arena.
The Principal Dr. A.S. Gangwar congratulated the prodigies on their exemplary performance and conveyed his best wishes for their next level of examination. Expressing his confidence in his students, he said, “The duo will surely bring recognition not only to their school but also to the state and the nation and continue the legacy of excellence of DPS Bokaro.”He stated that the scientific curiosity, temperament and inquisitiveness should be raised from the school level to make India a developed nation.
