Bokaro: The academic session of 2023-24 at DPS Bokaro started with a vibrant assembly where the whole school came together after a refreshing break. The assembly began with the traditional Ganesh and Sarswati Vandana. The students of Class VI presented a captivating fashion show spreading the message of happiness.
The assembly also included an auspicious Ganesh Vandana Dance that emphasized the importance of parents and seeking knowledge, wisdom, and love. The students of the Primary Wing also celebrated the day with a special assembly with a colourful cultural display.
A. S. Gangwar, the Principal, welcomed everyone and congratulated them on the beginning of the new session. He encouraged the students to explore new possibilities and make full use of their potential to overcome challenges.
Gangwar emphasized the importance of self-belief and self-discipline in achieving success in life. He also highlighted that every child is a genius with limitless possibilities and should strive to be better than they were. Through the inspirational story of the lion and the mouse he taught the students the importance of friendship. 
During the assembly, the toppers of each class were acknowledged. The Principal released the bimonthly in-house newsletter DPS Bokaro Chronicles by Ganga House and the annual planner on the theme of ‘Values,’ which included creative paintings by the students. The children were also introduced to the senior teachers, in-charges, and house wardens of the school.
The students were happy and excited on the first day of school, and the assembly concluded with the school song and the national anthem.
