Bokaro: Onam celebrations at Sree Ayyappa Public School on 4th September 2025 began with the vibrant Pookkalam (Floral Carpet) competition, symbolising prosperity and joy. Students from all six houses—Ganga, Yamuna, Kaveri, Pampa, Periyar, and Saraswati—participated with enthusiasm, filling the school campus with creativity and colors.
Students Showcase Cultural Talent
Following the Pookkalam contest, students presented a cultural program dedicated to Onam and Teachers’ Day. The event started with the traditional lamp lighting and mantra chanting. Dance performances by students from different class groups reflected devotion, discipline, and festive cheer, captivating everyone present.

Teachers Join the Celebration
As part of Onam festivities, the teachers also staged beautiful group dances and songs, adding charm to the occasion. Fun games and engaging activities were organised to make the event lively. The school committee honored the teachers with gifts in recognition of their dedication.
Management Extends Festive Wishes
On this occasion, Chairman P. Rajagopal greeted the gathering and emphasised the importance of teachers as guiding lights in students’ lives. Other dignitaries, including the Vice Chairman, General Secretary, Treasurer, and Board Members, also conveyed warm wishes for Onam and Teachers’ Day.
