Bokaro: Students of leading schools in Bokaro have delivered an impressive performance in Session–1 of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026, the prestigious engineering entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency. Results declared on February 16 have sparked celebrations across campuses, with several students securing percentiles above 99 and over 90.

60+ DPS students qualify
At Delhi Public School Bokaro, more than 60 students qualified in the first session. Kumar Anmol emerged as the school topper with an outstanding 99.72 percentile, followed by Ritanmay Mishra (99.34) and Aditya Mishra (99.27). Other high scorers include Sudip Layak (99.21), Riddhim Gupta (98.79), Aditya Raj (98.27), Syed Arham Ashraf (97.93), Ayush Suman (97.78) and several others who crossed the 90 percentile mark. Principal and NTA City Coordinator A.S. Gangwar congratulated the achievers, attributing the success to sustained hard work, academic discipline and focused mentoring.
Ayyappa School excels
At Sree Ayyappa Public School Bokaro, nearly 30 students turned in commendable performances. Rudra Pratap Singh secured 99.654 percentile, while Aditya Kumar scored 96.836. The management credited the achievement to the school’s long-standing emphasis on academic excellence and holistic development under the guidance of principal P. Shailaja Jayakumar. Chairman P. Rajagopal and other board members extended congratulations to the successful candidates.


GGPS Improves Performance
Students of Guru Gobind Singh Public School (GGPS) Bokaro also scripted a remarkable success story. Ashish Kumar Mahto led the tally with 98.88 percentile, followed by Anubhav Kumar (96.6), Siddhi Kumari (95.7) and Krishnadev Mahto (95.1). School authorities noted that this year’s outcome surpassed last year’s results, creating an atmosphere of pride and celebration on campus. Principal Abhishek Kumar lauded the combined efforts of students, teachers and parents.
Pentecostal School impresses
Students of The Pentecostal Assembly School Bokaro continued their consistent run of results. Arpan Kumar (98.64), Harshit Singh (97.84) and Satyam Chauhan (97.66) were among the top performers. School authorities said the results reflect determination, perseverance and a strong academic support system.
Chinmaya reports 67+ successes
Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro reported that over 67 students cleared JEE Main Phase–1, with 40 scoring above the 90 percentile. Ishan Sinha topped the school with 99.727 percentile, followed by Aryan (99.589) and K. Surya Shravan (99.31). Administrators expressed optimism about an even stronger showing in JEE Advanced.
3,479 Appear in district
JEE Main 2026 Session–1 was conducted from January 21 to 29, while Session–2 is scheduled between April 2 and 8. In Bokaro district, two examination centres were set up, and a total of 3,479 candidates appeared. The stellar results have reaffirmed Bokaro’s growing reputation as a hub of academic excellence in competitive examinations.
