Bokaro: Sree Ayyappa Public School, Bokaro Steel City celebrated its Annual Sports Day, “Parakram – Fitness Fiesta 2025,” on Thursday with vibrant energy and spirited participation. BSL’s ED (Works) Priya Ranjan graced the event as the chief guest. The ceremony opened with a warm welcome of guests, followed by energetic student performances that set a lively tone for the day.
The chief guest Priya Ranjan expressed joy over the children’s enthusiastic participation and emphasized the importance of sports in developing confidence, determination, and resilience. He described Lord Ayyappa as the deity of courage and blessings before inaugurating the Annual Sports Meet 2025–26.

The audience enjoyed balloon releases, a colorful children’s festival with themed costumes, and a lively flag dance by Class 5 students. The event concluded with prize distribution to the winners.
Chairman P. Rajagopal praised the school’s commitment to instilling discipline, courage, and character in students. Vice Chairman Shashindran Karat and Dr. Suresh Babu congratulated the young achievers and extended their blessings.
The celebration featured a flag hoisting ceremony, a march-past, oath-taking, and the symbolic lighting of the torch. The chief guest appreciated the students’ enthusiastic participation and stressed how sports help nurture determination and resilience. He also proclaimed the formal opening of the Annual Sports Meet 2025–26.
Principal P. Shailaja Jayakumar highlighted the importance of sports in building confidence, teamwork, and physical fitness essential for holistic development. The event witnessed several exciting competitions. In the popular zigzag race, Ansh Kumar Singh emerged victorious with remarkable agility.
The “Getting Ready for School” contest was won by Rajiv Kumar Mahali and Aradhya Shri. The 4×100m relay brought high excitement, with teams led by Shashankar Kumar and Srishti Patel clinching impressive victories. Parents too added charm to the occasion—Santosh Kumar and Poonam Rai won the balloon balancing event, while Padmavati secured first place in brisk walking.
