From Blood Camps to Bicycles: Rotary Club starts year with a heart

Bokaro: With the beginning of the new Rotary International year on July 1, the Rotary Club of Bokaro Midtown Couples has launched its new session with renewed commitment to social service. Under the leadership of newly elected President Rotarian Mini Stephen Kapoor, Secretary Mohit Agarwal the club has taken new resolutions to serve society in impactful ways.

Service programs mark the session launch at Bokaro Mall 

On the first day of the new session, the club organised several community service activities at Bokaro Mall. A blood donation camp was held for children suffering from thalassemia. Additionally, six underprivileged schoolgirls were gifted bicycles to support their daily commute to school. A cart was donated to a family to help them start a fruit and vegetable vending business. In celebration of Doctor’s Day and CA Day, five club members were also honored for their service in their respective fields.

President outlines key goals for the year ahead 

Speaking on the occasion, Club President Mini Stephen Kapoor said that the new Rotary year marks a fresh beginning filled with hopes and opportunities. She emphasised that with the collective efforts of members and the community, the club aims to make a deeper social impact. This year’s major goals include expanding service projects in education, health, environment, and youth empowerment, organising events for public engagement, supporting global Rotary missions, and increasing membership to strengthen the club’s reach.

The Rotary Club of Bokaro Midtown Couples has invited all citizens to join hands in this journey of service, whether through active participation, leadership, or partnership, to bring meaningful change in society.
