Bokaro: The city witnessed a unique blend of tradition and festivity as Sree Ayyappa Public School, Sector-5, organised Tulsi Pujan, Winter Carnival and Christmas celebrations on Wednesday, marking the end of 2025 and welcoming the New Year 2026. The school campus was beautifully decorated, with a gracefully adorned idol of Tulsi Mata becoming the centre of devotion.

The Tulsi Pujan was performed with full religious fervour in the presence of parents and students. Children dressed in traditional attire added charm to the ceremony, which included mantra chanting, shlokas, bhajans, lighting of lamps and tilak rituals. The event highlighted Tulsi not just as a plant, but as a symbol of Indian culture and civilization.
School President P. Rajagopal spoke about the medicinal properties of Tulsi and emphasised preserving cultural values through such events. Other office bearers and management members blessed the students and encouraged them. Meanwhile Principal P Shailaja Jayakumar explained the historical and spiritual significance of Tulsi, calling it a source of positive energy.

Parents also shared scientific and cultural insights, stressing the importance of having Tulsi in every household. Alongside the cultural rituals, a grand Christmas celebration was held. A beautifully decorated Christmas tree, fancy dress parade featuring seasonal fruits and vegetables, Christmas-themed costumes, dances on festive songs, and a special Santa Claus distributing chocolates delighted the children.
