Bokaro: The students of GGPS (Guru Gobind Singh Public School), Bokaro have once again demonstrated their exceptional talents and passion for sports by securing an impressive haul of medals in the recently concluded State-Level School Games. Their outstanding performances have not only brought immense pride and honor to the school but have also solidified their position in the realm of games and sports.
The State-Level School Games, organized by the Jharkhand Government, took place at KhelGaon in Ranchi on 31st May 2023. The event aimed to identify the SGF (State Games Federation) Gold Medalist. GGPS students participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing their skills and determination, and emerged victorious with a total of eight medals.
“Among these, five were gold medals and three were bronze medals, obtained across different weight categories,” said Soumen Chakraborty, prinicpal, GGPS.
The gold medalists included Jayshree in the U-36 kg weight category, Ishika in the U-40 kg category, Tanu in the U-48 kg category, Ayush in the U-81 kg category, and Rajkumar in the U-90 kg category. Additionally, Ayush, Deepshikha, and Karan were awarded bronze medals for their exceptional performances.
These achievements are a testament to the strenuous efforts put in by the GGPS students and their mentor, Chinmay, who provided guidance and support throughout their journey.
Principal of GGPS, expressed his heartfelt congratulations to all the winners, commending their brilliant performances. He further emphasized the immense pride felt by the entire school community for the exceptional achievements of these budding players.
The school managing committee, represented by Tarsem Singh, President of GGES, and S.P. Singh, Secretary of GGES, extended their congratulations to the players. They also praised the vision and mission of Principal Soumen Chakraborty, along with the initiatives he has undertaken to foster a competitive spirit and unleash the hidden potential of the students, while nurturing their skills and abilities alongside their mentors.
