Bokaro: As many as 39 deputy general managers (DGM’s) of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) have been promoted to the rank of general manager (GM) on Saturday. In a drive to fill vacancies at a level below chief general managers (CGM), Steel Authourity of India Limited (SAIL) has elevated deputy general managers to the general manager’s (GM’s) position.
Newly promoted GM’s will now take up more challenging assignments for the growth of organisation. A few well-known DGM’s in BSL who got promotion is – Manikant Dhan, DGM (chief of communication) has now been promoted as GM. He will hold the post of COC. Similarly, DGM, Water Supply and president of Bokaro Steel officer Association is elevated to GM. He will now be heading the same department. Anjani Kumar Avinash in TE-WS has also been elevated to GM.
The executives in entire SAIL including BSL have been promoted from E-6 (DGM) to E-7 (GM) grade, said sources. The newly-promoted executives received the promotion orders from the director incharge of BSL, Amarendu Prakash at a function organised at the Conference Hall of its Secretariat. Meanwhile, in the Medical wing, six have also been promoted to the grade of deputy chief medical officer in Bokaro General Hospital (BGH). Director Incharge, Amarendu Prakash congratulated the newly promoted GMs at his office.
Prakash said, “I hope that in their new roles as heads of their respective areas, they will steer the organization to greater heights”. The list of promoted executives from DGM to GM’s in BSL is as follows:
