Bokaro: A wave of happiness swept across schools in Bokaro on Tuesday as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 12 board examination results for 2025. More than 7,100 students from Bokaro had appeared for the CBSE Class 12 exams, which were conducted by CBSE, New Delhi, starting in February. To ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the exams, 20 examination centres had been set up across the district. Since the announcement of results, schools have been buzzing with activity — compiling marks and identifying meritorious students for recognition. Meanwhile, anticipation continues to build as the results for Class 10 are expected to be announced soon.

Students can access their results on the official CBSE websites — [cbse.gov.in](http://cbse.gov.in), [cbseresults.nic.in](http://cbseresults.nic.in), and [results.cbse.nic.in](http://results.cbse.nic.in).

If a candidate secures 33 per cent marks, then the student will be declared as pass. If any student is not able to achieve 33 per cent marks and miss out by 1 mark or so, a decision may be taken to award the grace mark(s). Alternatively, students can check results on DigiLocker. Students can log into DigiLocker using the credentials and Access Code provided. CBSE will also send DigiLocker login details to students via SMS on their registered mobile numbers. Through this platform, students will be able to download verified digital copies of their marksheets and certificates.

From the academic session 2024–25 onward, CBSE has introduced a ‘Relative Grading’ system, aimed at reducing academic stress and unhealthy competition among students. Unlike the previous fixed grading model — which allocated grades based on specific mark ranges (such as 91–100 for A1, 81–90 for A2) — the new system assesses a student’s performance in comparison to their peer group. As a result, the cutoff for each grade may vary depending on subject-wise performance trends and the number of passing candidates.
