Bokaro: BJP’s state president Deepak Prakash met the family of the rape victim in Petarwar on Sunday. Consoling the family members, he pledged to do whatever it takes to bring them justice.
According to him, not a word of condemnation from the state’s chief minister or any leader of his party after such an incident shows the government’s negligence regarding women’s safety.
Prakash also said, “apart from arresting the suspect without delay, the accused should also be punished immediately by fast track courts. In case justice for the victim is not obtained, we will protest”.
He also added, there was an administrative lapse after the incident. Instead of catching those responsible for rape, the police are catching those fighting for justice.
State President of Scheduled Caste Morcha Amar Kumar Bauri, Chief Whip of the opposition party Biranchi Narayan and others were present on the occasion.
