Established in 2007, the JGTR is a flagship initiative by the Jharkhand government aimed at building industrial capacity and a skilled technical workforce. During the visit, students were given guided tours of various sections within the facility. They closely observed the functioning of advanced machinery, modern tools, and manufacturing units. The hands-on experience provided them with valuable insights into machining processes, production techniques, and industrial workflows.
Teachers accompanying the group said the visit was designed to bridge the gap between theoretical education and practical application. “It’s important for students to experience real-world industrial settings to understand the relevance of their classroom knowledge,” said Mr. Subrato.
MGM School has been at the forefront of promoting experiential learning through its Multi Skill Foundation and Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) initiatives. These programs aim to enhance critical thinking, creativity, and technical skills among students, aligning with the CBSE’s vision for future-ready education.
The educational tour not only inspired students to explore the world of innovation and manufacturing but also encouraged them to pursue skill-based and industry-oriented careers.
