No Shortcuts: Hard work and positivity are keys to success, says Bokaro DDC to aspiring students


Bokaro: A motivational session was organised by the IAS Hub Club at MGM Higher Secondary School, Sector 4F, Bokaro, aimed at guiding students towards success in competitive exams like UPSC. The event was inaugurated by Bokaro Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Shatabdi Majumdar and Principal Father Dr. Joshi Varghese through ceremonial lamp lighting.

Addressing students from classes 6 to 12, DDC Majumdar emphasised, “There is no shortcut to success in life.” She encouraged students to work hard with discipline, manage time effectively, and maintain a positive outlook. Stressing the importance of current affairs, she advised regular newspaper reading alongside academic studies and urged students to take full advantage of their teachers’ guidance.

The session turned interactive as the DDC resolved student queries and shared valuable strategies for clearing the UPSC examination. Students appeared motivated and visibly satisfied.

Principal Father Dr. Joshi Varghese shared that the Lakshya Club, launched in 2024, aims to nurture students’ dreams of becoming administrative officers. The club connects students with officers across the country for both online and offline UPSC guidance.

The vote of thanks was presented by Head Girl Anshika Singhania. The event was attended by Deputy Principal Rakhi Banerjee, Headmistress Sapna Joshi, Club In-Charge Arvind Kumar Sinha, faculty, and students.
