Bokaro: One person was killed and three others have been injured, when Mahindra Scorpio which they were riding fell into 100 feet deep canal, at Sunday Bazaar under Gandhinagar police station here on Sunday.
The incident occurred at midnight, but police managed to take out the dead body in the morning as it was crushed under the vehicle. Police sources said that the victims are residents of Dhanbad and were returning home after attending a wedding ceremony from Jaridih Bazaar.
The deceased was identified as Rakesh Kumar. Of those injured, driver Saroj Kumar (40) sustained critical injuries and referred to RIMS, Ranchi and other two youths suffered minor injuries. It is believed that the car was at a high speed and lost control on the turn and fell into the canal. The vehicle is badly damaged.
