Bokaro: Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro is all set to host the CBSE Cluster-3 Table Tennis Tournament, a three-day event bringing together 41 teams from Jharkhand and Bihar. The tournament will kick off on Sunday, August 3, 2025, marking another major inter-state event for the school, which successfully hosted the CBSE Cluster-3 Basketball tournament last year.

The tournament will showcase the talents of around 200 paddlers of 41 teams from 18 CBSE-affiliated schools across Jharkhand and Bihar. A total of 240 matches will be played on the four table tennis courts set up at the school’s Kalidas Kala Bhawan and Chandrashekhar Table Tennis Hall.

The tournament, themed “Sanyan, Kaushal Aur Pratibha ka Sangam”, includes 12 teams in the Under-14 boys’ category, 5 in Under-14 girls’, 7 in Under-17 boys’, 4 in Under-17 girls’, 7 in Under-19 boys’, and 6 in Under-19 girls’. To ensure fair play, 11 experienced officials from the Jharkhand State Table Tennis Association will be present. The winning teams will qualify for the CBSE National Tournament, scheduled to take place from October 03-08, 2025, at L.P. Savani Academy in Surat, Gujarat.

“All preparations for a grand and successful event are complete,” said Dr. A. S. Gangwar, Principal of DPS Bokaro and President of the organizing committee. He mentioned that arrangements for accommodation and food for the players have been made on campus, with players already starting to arrive on Saturday morning.

“Table tennis is more than just a game; it’s a test of physical agility, concentration, quick decision-making, and mental fortitude,” Dr. Gangwar added. “This tournament will not only provide a platform for players to showcase their talent but also an opportunity to learn from one another.”
