Bokaro: Pentecostal Assembly School organised an orientation programme for the parents of the new students in the Primary section to familiarise them with the school’s curriculum, rules and regulations, and teaching methodologies.
The orientation began with the notion that A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the centre of our universe” . Director, Reverend Dr. D.N Prasad and Chief Academic Officer, Rita Prasad led the program of prayer and welcoming parents to the new academic session.
The principal Karuna Prasad spoke about the benefits of effective communication between parents and teachers. She also provided tips on good parenting. Additionally, she talked in detail about different ways to nurture a child with love and care so as to build a strong foundation for a bright future.
At the same time, a team of primary teachers introduced themselves to the parents, while teachers informed them about the school’s history, awards & certificates, the importance of uniform, upcoming events & activities, and exam patterns.
Teachers also discussed the New Education Policy and 21st century skills. Google classroom, the fee portal, and ERP were also discussed in the session. Besides, co-scholastic activities that gave parents an insight into the curriculum. Curriculum provides students with a platform to fully utilize their creative potential, so that they can make the most of their development.
The orientation program was a sincere effort made by the school to educate parents to properly care for and guide their children. To see the students in the school premises after a long closure was exciting and overwhelming.
