Bokaro: The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has invited applications from qualified doctors, including retired medical professionals, for engagement as consultants at the Bokaro General Hospital under the Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL). The appointments will be made on a contractual basis through a walk-in interview.

Consultant positions
According to the official notification issued by SAIL-BSL, a total of 12 consultant positions are available across different medical specialties. The recruitment aims to strengthen medical services at Bokaro General Hospital, one of the key healthcare facilities serving employees and residents of Bokaro Steel City.
Specialists
The vacancies include one Super Specialist in Cardiology, two Specialists in Orthopedics, one Specialist in Anaesthesia, and eight General Duty Medical Officers (GDMO). Candidates applying for the super specialist post must possess MBBS along with DM, MCh, DNB, or DrNB in the relevant super specialty. For specialist positions, applicants should have MBBS with a postgraduate diploma or degree in the concerned specialty, while MBBS qualification is required for the GDMO posts.

Experienced Doctor
SAIL stated that the qualification must be obtained from a recognised university or institute and candidates must hold a valid medical registration. The upper age limit for applicants is 69 years as of February 28, 2026, making the opportunity open for experienced and retired doctors willing to contribute their expertise.
Documents required
The walk-in interview is scheduled for March 17, 2026, at the office of the Executive Director (Medical & Health Services) at Bokaro General Hospital, SAIL-BSL in Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand. Registration for the interview will be conducted between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm on the same day. Interested candidates are required to bring all original documents along with one set of photocopies, including educational certificates, registration proof, and other relevant records, as specified in the detailed advertisement.
