Work will shortly begin to develop three playgrounds within each sector
To take the concept of Global Active Partner City forward, BSL will be developing 30 playgrounds in the township, work on which is likely to begin shortly after completion of a few other formalities. These playgrounds have been identified and each sector is to have three such playgrounds.
As per the development plan, each of these playgrounds will be barricaded and numbered, will have pathways for walkers/joggers and other amenities to facilitate residents take full advantage of the facilities. The concept is to help Bokaroities become healthier and fitter.
Notably, this is the brainchild of BSL Director Incharge, Amarendu Prakash who has not only taken the initiative for promotion of sports and well-being in town, but has also hinted at working towards the goal of making Bokaro the cleanest city in the country within a span of three years.
Workshop on making Steel in a Safe Way
On Saturday, Bokaro Steel Plant organized a one-day workshop on Safe Steel Making for employees and officers in Steel Melting Shop-2 and CCS Department. As part of the workshop, employees brainstormed about how to prevent accidents on the job. They developed an action plan. Identification of risk areas is crucial during the steel-making process. General Manager (Security Engineering) Vikas Gupta gave information about various dimensions of security in SMS-2 and CCS department through a presentation.
Closing Ceremony of Safety Awareness Week in BSL
The closing ceremony of the Safety Awareness Week was organized in the Traffic Department of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) on Saturday. CGM’s Sanjay Kumar, Amarendra Jha, AK Jha and winners of various competitions organized during the Safety Awareness Week were present at the occasion. AGM Traffic, Sandeep Kumar informed about the various activities organized during the safety week. At the end of the program, the guests honored the winners by giving them symbol prizes and certificates.
